Caring for a terminally ill loved one can be physically and emotionally exhausting. That’s why House of Goshen offers respite care – to give family caregivers a temporary break. Respite provides short-term relief so you can focus on your own health and wellbeing.
Our respite care provides family caregivers a temporary break so they can rest and recharge.
Respite stays can last from One-night (1) to five (5) nights and if you meet the eligibility criteria, Medicare covers the entire cost. During this time, the patient stays in our homelike inpatient facility and receives 24-hour medical care and support from our hospice staff.

Respite care involves short-term hospice services for the patient that allows the regular family caregiver to take a break. It can be provided in the patient’s home or at our inpatient hospice facility.
During respite, our hospice nurses and aides will provide complete care for your loved one up to 5 days at a time. This gives you time to rest, reconnect with family, and renew your energy so you can be at your best when caregiving duties resume.
